Embrapa Florestas - Colombo/PR
The research unit is responsible for generating new technologies, services and products for reforestation activities, environmental conservation and the rational use of the Brazilian forests. It has a team of 54 researchers and modern facilities.
It strives for the productivity increase in natural and replanted forest, for the use of trees on the recovery of degraded areas and for the combined production of timber and food. Its objective is tied to the sustainable development of the Brazilian forestal patrimony, conserving the environment, generating jobs and well-being for rural and urban society.
