This research unit has one of the best facilities for an institutions in tropical beef cattle farming, with 50 researchers working on the priority of increasing the systems production and efficiency so as to ensure that meat and its by products meet the consumer's demands.
It has introduced 3 types of grass cultivars, which are responsible for 90% of the tropical forage seed commerce in Brazil.
