Cupuaçu 5.0 - Kit of high-yield and witches' broom-resistant cupuaçu cultivars

The clone collection comprises five cupuaçu cultivars that, when planted simultaneously, offer high fruit yield and good resistance to witches' broom, with the aim of making cultivation more sustainable and profitable. In comparison with other cultivars in the market, the cultivars in the collection show s considerable advantage in terms of yield, both in terms of fruits and of pulp and almonds, which can reach 14 tons per hectare.

BRS 2558XTD and BRS 2553XTD Soybeans

BRS 2558XTD and BRS 2553XTD are transgenic (GM), "Xtend”-type soybean cultivars that are tolerant to the herbicides dicamba and glyphosate, which facilitates weed control. BRS 2553XTD offers the competitive differential of resistance to Phytophthora root rot, an important soil disease that attacks soybeans, whose main control method is the use of resistant cultivars. Meanwhile BRS 2558XTD is an an early soybean option that allows early sowing, and hence it can be potentially inserted in rotation/succession systems with other crops; moreover, it offers stable yields.

    Wheat - BRS Tarumaxi

Wheat cultivar that is recommended for forage production (adapted to the extended periods of grazing) in the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, BRS Tarumaxi is a late-cycle cultivar that can be sown before the recommended period when it is cut or grazed. It has high capacity for resprouting and tillering, with higher average forage dry matter content than other cultivars in the market.

Brachiaria ruziziensis grass - BRS Integra

Adapted to medium to high fertility soils, the Brachiaria ruziziensis grass cultivar can be cultivated from sea level to 1,800 meters of altitude. In comparison with the traditional cultivar currently available in the market, it offers higher production of forage dry mass and of leaves in the fall/winter, between harvests (dry season), precisely at the time when the forage grass is not intercropped with anything else in the area.

Platform that offers qualified data on different aspects that impact agriculture in the Caatinga biome. The information has been taken from several sources, then organized and categorized, shown in interactive dashboards, with the possibility of generating different maps and graphs. It is a tool that can inform initiatives that promote sustainable development in agriculture in the region.
