As sources of food security and providers of environmental services, soils are intimately connected to life on the planet. Hence their conservation is extremely important, especially to preserve ecosystems, for agriculture and for food. Degradation, nutrient losses, erosion, and even desertification are issues that affect soils and can interfere in produçtion capacity. However, with the the adoption of best practices, it is possible to combine production with the conservation of this natural resource, and also offer environmental services to society. Access below a selection of publications edited by Embrapa that address different topics related to soils for download.
