EMBRAPA FLORESTAS  

Embrapa Florestas is a unit of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), linked to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply.

We are located in Colombo, in the state of Paraná. Since Embrapa Forestry was created in 1978, we have developed forestry technologies that allow for more efficient production, reduce production costs, and expand the supply of forest-based and agricultural products in the market while simultaneously preserving the environment.
 

To do all this, and contribute to the development of forest agribusiness as well as its sustainability, we work in collaboration with universities, research institutions, technical assistance and rural extension companies, non-governmental organizations, companies and associations in the private sector, government, international institutions, producers and their associations, cooperatives, and other important partners.
