1. Coordinate and support the elaboration and update of Embrapa's Master Plan and of Embrapa units' Priority Agendas, in line with the corporation's mission and institucional vision;
  2. Develop and promote studies and coordinate actions aimed at institucional improvement, and improve the management of the Corporation;
  3. Guide the units and promote the necessary actions for the management and improvement of processes within Embrapa;
  4. Coordinate, monitor and assess the definition of and adjustments to the organizacional structure of Embrapa's Central and Decentralized Units;
  5. Coordinate the planning, oversight, and the assessmen of Embrapa's institutional performance;
  6. Promote the methodological improvement and studies on the adoption and the impacts of Embrapa's products, technologies, and services;
  7. Promote and support the process of continuous improvement in the quality of studies and quantitative methods, scientific computing, and economic and social analysis;
  8. Coordinate Embrapa's risk management process and risk measurement, in liaison with Embrapa's units ;
  9. Coordinate the process of implementing Embrapa's information security process, which includes the coordination and orientation of the process of elaboration of norms, models, plans and corporate actions on information security; and
  10. Participate, jointly with the Research and Development Department, in the management of Embrapa's Management System (Sistema Embrapa de Gestão - SEG), specifically with regard to the Macroprogram-5 of Institutional Development.

  1. Elaborate, monitor, and continuously update Embrapa's Master Plan, in liaison with Embrapa's units;
  2. Coordinate and support the process of elaboration, monitoring, and continuous update of the units' Priority Agendas ;
  3. Coordinate the elaboration of Embrapa's Pluriannual Plan, monitor its implementation and elaborate pertinent reports; and
  4. Assist the Executive Board in the analysis and negotiation of targets for Embrapa's units, in accordance with the Embrapa's Master Plan and Priority Agendas.

  1. Identify demands, ppromote organizational studies, and consider strategies aimed at improving Embrapa's management and organization model;
  2. Promote the coordination and integration of institutional development and management activities of corporate interest that are proposed and executed within the Corporation;
  3. Promote the identification and the sharing of knowledge, processes, and best practices in management;
  4. Coordinate the definition and update of Embrapa's and Embrapa's units' organizational structure, and their respective internal regulations;
  5. Coordinate, guide, and promote actions required for Embrapa's management and process improvement; and
  6. Coordinate the elaboration of management reports demanded by federal supervision and control agencies and manage their information requests.

  1. Monitor and assess the performance of Embrapa and its units with regard to the fulfilment of their mission and goals;
  2. Promote, develop and support the improvement of the methods used in the technical efficiency and effectiveness analyses applied to the units' performance;
  3. Promote and methodologically support studies on the adoption and assessment of social, economic, and environmental impacts of the technologies, products and services generated by the Corporation; and
  4. Coordinate the integrated process of institucional performance, program, and team management, in liaison with the other central units.

  1. Coordinate the process of elaboration of an integrated corporate risk management policy, ranging from the strategical level to the operational one, and monitor and guide its implementation;
  2. Promote studies, inventories, and description of assets related to Embrapa's projects, processes and partnerships, and guide the units with regard to risk management procedures;
  3. Coordinate and guide the process of elaboration of information security norms, models, plans, and corporative actions, and disseminate an information security culture in the Corporation;
  4. Promote and stimulate the dissemination of a risk management culture in the Corporation;
  5. Manage databases concerning quantitative studies, to be shared with Embrapa's units;
  6. Promote and support Embrapa's units in the development, improved quality and in the use of quantitative methods and scientific computing; and
  7. Promote and support the process of continuous improvement of the quality of the studies and of the methods of economic and social analysis.
